The affiliated organizations conduct training projects, research projects and support projects.
Affiliated Organization
- Training InstituteThis organization plans and carries out various forms of training, including newcomer training, ongoing training, advanced technology training, and training with external organizations, in order to research and improve the abilities of JPAA members.01
- Central IP Research InstituteThis organization investigates, researches and provides information on intellectual property inside and outside Japan, and on issues related to patent attorneys, etc. from a long-term and international perspective.02
- IP Support CenterThis organization contributes to the development of the intellectual property system through the social service activities of patent attorneys, such as dispatching support staff to consultations, holding lectures, and providing free patent consultations.03
- IP Management CenterThis organization provides support for intellectual property management including intellectual property evaluation, consulting, and intellectual property distribution. It also trains patent attorneys.04
- International Activities CenterThis organization collects foreign patent information and disseminates information on Japan’s intellectual property protection system overseas.05
- Public Relations CenterThis organization carries out publicity activities regarding protection of intellectual property, the work of patent attorneys, and the activities of patent attorneys’ associations through newspapers, magazines, websites, journals, brochures, etc.06
